Some internet marketing products have unusual but helpful features. You should be familiar with those especially if you think your current software’s features are already limited.

What Are These Products?

If you are into online marketing, you should be aware of internet marketing products. Those are software or computer programs that are specifically and especially designed and developed to help online promoters carry out their tasks. Such products are featuring sets of features and capabilities that enable marketers to get more empowered when marketing across the online media.

Moreover, such products are not usually free. A marketer has to invest a significant amount of money just to buy, download, and use one. However, the usefulness and the potential benefits can easily compensate and justify the acquisition of one. There are many of such products that are promoted and sold online. But there are only a few that truly matter.

Various internet marketing products almost always have the same sets of features and usefulness. Those that offer more can be considered as good finds. Here are some unusual but helpful features that are offered only by a few of these products.

Guerilla Marketing Features

Some products can run features that guide or facilitate ‘guerilla marketing,’ an undercover strategy of promoting products and services. Through the years, more and more companies have adapted and used this strategy to attract and lure more potential customers. The style used to be employed only by small marketers who cannot afford big budgeted marketing ploys. Now, even medium-sized to large online promoters employ it with the use of specific marketing products.

Guerilla marketing can be the best marketing technique you can use. If you are not familiar with this technique, several marketing software will lead your way. Conceal your ads in materials that consumers will not easily realize as promotional plots. It works.

Niche Marketing Guide

Many internet marketing products now offer niche marketing guides. There is a need to choose a niche audience, which will most likely buy and use the products you sell. You need to target your efforts to be able to run across the right and potential customers.

Some marketing products can guide you upon starting a marketing campaign. You will learn about your specific niche as well as the right sets of keywords, subjects, and marketing materials that should come with it. You can take a better chance of reaching out to consumers who can actually be persuaded to purchase.

Email Marketing

Have you ever received an email that turns out to be a sales page? Are you wondering where the company got your email address? Several internet marketing products can help you do it on your own. Now, you can use email messaging in marketing and promoting the products and services you sell or market. You can be surprised at how the task can be effective.

Some Internet Marketing Products or software offer unusual online marketing features. Learn more about those at the link Marketing On The Internet today.

How do we keep Internet communication simple? Let’s start by taking a look at the different methods used to communicate on the web. It is important to understand the nuances and benefits of the different forms.

Email

This is the most popular communication method. Users typically use desktop software to receive, read and respond to messages. Some users use web-based mail and manage messages in a web browser like Internet Explorer. The downfall to email communication is that anyone can send email messages to anyone else if they have (or guess) the correct email address. This system’s Achilles heel is its simplicity and universal popularity.

Email accounts are often burdened by spam or unsolicited email. Despite software developers having created complex spam filters and legislators having introduced new anti-spam legislation, the problem persists and spam continues to burden email as a messaging medium.

Email Clients - http://www.messaging-software.net/e-mail-client-software.htm

Spam Software - http://www.email-software.org/spam-filter-software.htm

Instant Messaging

Instant messaging allows users to “chat” in real time. Users can send text messages to anyone online and receive instant replies if the user is also online. The “instant” fad gave way to parental fears as children made “friends” online. With no way to confirm if “friends” are who they represent themselves to be, and multiple security holes, instant messaging has taken a back seat in internet communication.

Instant Messaging - http://www.instant-messaging-software.com

Blogs

Online journals and daily diaries have taken hold. Some blogs are interactive, allowing users to respond and comment on posts. Locating topic-specific blogs that provide relevant and interesting content on a daily basis can be a challenge. The nature of a blog is to contain fresh public content. As our lives become more complicated blogs are often abandoned, as they require constant updating.

Blog Connections - http://www.blog-connection.com

RSS

RSS is the latest messaging medium and shows genuine promise as a means to communicate. RSS files are produced as XML files and are designed to provide content summaries of news or information. The biggest benefit to RSS is that it does not have the spam issues inherent to email; users opt-in to the RSS feeds that interest them.

RSS Specifications - http://www.rss-specifications.com

Forums / Newsgroups

A forum is an online discussion group. Forums can be newsgroups, or they can be web-based discussion groups. Forums have proven themselves as valuable business resources - often creating communities of customers helping customers. Without moderation and oversight they can potentially create an unfriendly environment.

Message Board Software - http://www.messaging-software.net/message-board-software.htm

Listservs

Liststervs are mailing list programs for communicating with other people who have subscribed to the same list. Using e-mail, you can participate in listservs pertaining to your topics of interest. When you submit a message to the server, your message is relayed to all on the listserv. You receive messages from other participants via e-mail.

Yahoo Groups - http://www.yahoogroups.com

What’s Next?

Internet communication is intrinsically tied to the hardware options available. Wireless technology has accelerated the development of messaging software, opening the market to a dizzying array of devices for web access. Where we were once tied to a keyboard and mouse, we will soon be navigating the web with our voices from a moving automobile, or browsing via screens in our eyewear, with tiny cameras reading our eye movements to move the cursor and make selections. Our interactive conversations will include more and more participants at once. Evaluating the many options and choosing what works best for you is the first step to effectively communicating on the web.

As a service business owner, you may find yourself interacting with prospects who initiate queries about your services, products and programs. Perhaps you want to plan ahead for what you will say so you won’t be caught off guard. At this point you are (believe it or not) engaged in copywriting.

If you are like most business owners, you think of creating content for your website, blogs and sales letters. The truth is, you’re creating copy - content for promotion - every time you interact with clients.

Here are 3 examples of scenarios when you write a script for a live interaction. Because you choose the words, you are copywriting.

Example 1: You offer a get-acquainted call to a prospect. He says, “I really want to hire you -but I have to talk to my team members before approving the expenditure.”

You say: “When do you expect to make a decision? Who else is involved?”

You write copy for a follow-up email. Let’s say your prospect anticipates a decision in 2 weeks. It is now March 1. On March 10: Your follow-up email refers to the earlier conversation and asks for a status update. You can use language like, “where you are in your process.” On March 20: If you’re not signed, you can politely follow up again.

If appropriate, you may need to remind prospects of the lead time needed to set up call. for example, “I am booking 2 weeks ahead.” Or, “I can work with just 6 clients and have room for 2 more.”

Example 2: You meet Bob at a networking event. You tell him about your latest coaching program that you are just testing out. You are looking for “beta testers” or clients who will give you a testimonial. Bob is interested.

You are tempted to offer him a free program in return for a testimonial or perhaps a deep discount. Either way you need to set up an agreement.

Your agreement can be just a simple email agreement spelling out your mutual responsibilities. You’ll save LOTS of hassles later. You will also get a chance to test your agreement for clarity.

If you don’t want to charge and/or you are doing a trade, make sure your agreement spells out what each of you will do. At the very least, Bob should agree to give you a testimonial if he is satisfied. If you have a mutli-session program, or a product delivered in stages, check Bob’s satisfaction at each stage so you won’t have surprises.

NEW YORK — Blue Wolf Capital Partners LLC, the New York-based private equity firm, today announced that Blue Wolf Capital Fund II, L.P. (“Blue Wolf”), through an affiliate, has acquired substantially all of the assets of American Builders Supply (“ABS”), the largest independent supplier of doors, windows and trusses to homebuilders in Florida. Despite the housing collapse in Florida, the company has grown its market share and footprint throughout the downturn. Our capital and strategic resources will augment ABS and enable it to take advantage of the current industry turmoil.”

CEO Chad Barton added, “We are delighted to be partnering with Blue Wolf as we look to our future. Their turnaround expertise, operating experience and vision, coupled with our relationships and knowledge of the local market, is a great combination. Over the course of 2011, ABS will expand geographically, broaden its product line and target new end markets, such as aftermarket and multi-family homes. We are very excited about this opportunity.”

“Like Chad, I am excited to be partnering with Blue Wolf,” said Bob Dello Russo, “and I am confident we will build the premier building supply company in the state of Florida. We see multiple paths for expansion and expect to take advantage of all of them.”

Are you looking for good examples of successful article marketing campaigns you can copy, emulate or mimic? Are you just getting started online, and excited about using direct response marketing principles to build your business? The simple truth is, you are at a very exciting juncture in your online marketing career….and in some ways I envy you!

Why?

There is nothing more exciting than making your first affiliate sale, or creating your first info product or getting your first subscriber or appreciative email from a fan, friend or follower.

Here is what is CRITICAL for you to know right now, if you are just getting started with direct response, internet marketing.

1 - Creating content for syndication is probably the EASIEST way to build your business long term that there is, WITHOUT having to spend a lot of money on PPC, or advertising, or struggling with complicated “strategies” that often don’t work

2 - You HAVE to learn how to “re-purpose” your articles and intellectual assets intelligently if you truly want to “CRUSH it” with content. That does NOT mean submitting the same article to a million different directories, but it DOES mean learning to use free tools like blogs, and learning to CONTROL what you create.

3 - If you want huge numbers of readers like I mention in my title, the good news, is the sequence of steps is actually very similar to what you are already familiar with.

Here is EXACTLY how I created over 1 million new readers, in just “one” niche, and in less than 12 months.

- I picked the “sexiest” niche I knew about, with TONS of volume (millions of monthly searches)

- I wrote for 90 minutes, every morning…….and strived to submit 5 new articles every day

- I used what I call “titillating titles”, and rather than focusing on keyword metrics like many “guru’s” teach, I simply tried to amp UP the curiosity of my potential readership, and compel them to click on my stuff, rather than my competition..:-)

The truth is, not only did this work amazingly well, I have duplicated it in close to 10 other niches as well. (all with over 1 million readers to my blog, my articles, or projects with partners as well)

The good news is you can do the very same thing….and regardless of what you may hear otherwise, article marketing is ALIVE, well and helping many people achieve amazing levels of success online……WITHOUT investing a dime to boot!

It is very important to understand exactly how your prospects read the web. If you have a firm grasp of this, then you will be able to tailor your copy to achieve maximum results. Jakob Nielson is a ‘usability expert’ and he writes on topics such as eye-tracking research, web design errors and banner blindness. As an expert on this topic, Nielson supports the idea that people primarily seek information on the web and even goes so far as to call it ‘information foraging’. Key to this concept is the idea that we look for the ‘information scent’ by assessing a site quickly and when there doesn’t seem to be any ‘food’ around, we move on quickly.

So how do users read the web - Nielson maintains that they don’t read, instead they scan. They pick out individual words and sentences and his research has shown that just 16% read word for word.

The lesson here is that your Web Pages need to have scanable text, using:

o Highlighted keywords - this can include variations in word colour or typeface; or hypertext links;

o Meaningful sub-headings

o Bulleted lists

o One idea per paragraph

o The inverted pyramid style of writing - start with the conclusion first, i.e. your most important sales points come at the beginning of your site

o Half the word count of conventional writing - this does not mean that you should have short copy, instead it means that you should look at everything you write and try to re-write each section in a more concise way.

What you are trying to do through your copy is to lead your prospects down your intended sales path, in order to take action towards the end of your copy. This is called the ‘linear path method’ for writing copy and to employ this method properly, you need to apply the pointers above.

What you don’t want is for your prospect to be distracted en-route, with the result that they fail to take action. This can easily happen if your WebPages are littered with buttons, adverts, links, click throughs or a slew of different subjects or topics.

Why is this important?

There is a principle in marketing called the Zeigarnik Effect (named after a Gestalt Theorist) which represents the state of mental tension and unbalance caused by uncompleted tasks. What you want to do is to stick to a simple message and subject and guide your prospects down a single sales path. What happens often in practice is that visitors come to a site; they start to read the copy noting the various buttons, links etc. Along the way, these links etc. are stored in the brain as uncompleted tasks and at some point the Zeigernik Effect takes over, causing mental tension by creating a need to click a link and thereby become sidetracked. The Zeigernik Effect is a relatively simple marketing concept, but yet happens to be one that few people employ.

Understanding just how people read online and how easily they can become distracted is important for shaping how you set about writing your copy. Remember, it is your words that must sell!

What are pay per click engines?

Pay per click engines as the name suggests, webmasters have to pay a fee for each click coming from search engine results. Depending on how much the person bids for a keyword over his competitor his website will be positioned in the search engine results.

How pay per click search engines work?

For example if a webmaster bids $0.07 on the term ‘tennis shoes’. If no other webmaster bids more than this, he will stay in 1st position. If second webmaster bids $0.08, then second one goes to 1st position. Basically this is like auction procedure for No.1 position.

So what are SIX Golden tips to work with Pay per click search engines?

RULE No. 1: Keywords:

Select your keywords carefully so that every keyword reflects your product. General keywords bring general public.

For example if you are offering search engine optimization service to webmasters, ’search engine’ will be a general keyword for you. ’search engine optimization’ , ‘good search engine ranking’ etc,. will be your good target keywords.

Another thing you have to remember is targeting your keywords. Like any geographical locaton specific to your product or any specific language…Some search engines like Google offer this feature to target the keywords based on the countries and language.

RULE No. 2: Write a compelling ad:

Most of the times the pay per click search engine services limits your ad characters and length. So try to keep the keyword in the ad headline and the body.

By doing so, you will get higher click thrus for tha ads. This will be very useful with Google, which determines your position not only by your bidding amount but also click thru ratio. Google editors won’t allow you to use keyword more than once in your ad. It is to make use of your ad space more efficiently.

See the example below-

“Ebay ebook: Every thing about How to make money on ebay! An Easy to follow Guide!!”

“Ebay ebook that Stands in numder ONE position in Clickbank Market place as a Top Seller. See the Proof!”

Certainly anybody can say that the second one pulls traffic than the first ad.

Try different ones and see what pulls more traffic for you. Check your spelling and grammer twice before submitting your ads.

RULE No. 3: Don’t enter in to Bidding war:

Keep an eye on your Return on Investment. (ROI) It is not that easy to resist the temptation of being number one on pay per click engine listings especially for the beginners. Always decide an amount how much you are going to spend on advertising campaigns. Depending on that devide certain percentage to PPCs.

With reasonable bidding amount you can get good amount of traffic from PPCs.

RULE No. 4: Monitor your bidding amount:

Most of the people bid once and don’t remember about it for weeks. Monitor your bid amount after logging in to your accounts. Do this atleast once in every 4-7 days.

For example, If you go to overture.com and search for some of the the keywords, you can find the first positions paying $0.87, $0.85, 0.35 for the first three rankings. Don’t you see who will be benefited by this? You can get the first and second position for $0.37 and $0.36 respectively.

So always keep an eye on your bidding amount.

RULE No. 5: Landing page:

After clicking on your link and coming to your website, don’t let them search for the product for which they came to your site. Directly landing on the product page is always a good idea and saves lot of your visitor’s time.

RULE No.6: Track your results:

Put some source code at the end of URL. Or submit different landing page for your product. So people coming to that URL can be tracked through a good weblogger. More on tracking your ad campaigns is at: [http://www.webmasters-central.com/wprofits/tracking.shtml]

RSS stands for ‘really simple syndication’ but that may still mean little to you but it’s basically for syndicating content online. You may well have seen the RSS feed logo before and had no idea what it was, many websites have them, It’s an orange icon with a dot and a couple of quarter circles beside it. If you’ve ever clicked on one of these you will see a list of what has been created and outputted by that website: blogs, articles, news and even podcasts and video podcasts. You can use this not only to view like this in your web browser though: the URL for the feed can be used by various programs and other services. For a start iTunes can be setup to use your feed to find podcasts you have added to it and make them automatically available on iTunes. RSS feeds can also be read by other RSS readers though: a piece of software that presents the latest from any RSS feeds you have added to it or ’subscribed’ too. What this means as a user of RSS feeds is that you can have a one stop piece of software with the news from all of your favorite sites whose articles and other content you find interesting.

So as a website owner how can you use RSS? Well to start you need to be creating plenty of fresh content ideally every day and then you need to make sure it’s good enough that people want to read it. If this is the case then if people like your content and you make it clear you have an RSS feed available then they will be able to take the link and put it into their software or you can manually make it available through the reader. This way when you post new articles they will be able to read them through their software. Now at this point many of you will be thinking that is no good as they wont be reading them on your website; the chances are that if they weren’t reading them through the RSS reader they wouldn’t read them at all though and wouldn’t visit your site just to check if you have anything new. By reading your articles they are being reminding you exist and if you mention your products and services they may choose to visit your website when they do need whatever you offer as they already know you know what you are talking about and what you do.

If you use your RSS with podcasts or video podcasts consider it in the same way pretty much, places like iTunes will have people both subscribing to your content and finding it through their search feature of course.

RSS feeds are especially well suited to those who are basically selling knowledge including those selling books including eBooks who can show off their knowledge and understanding, almost like giving away something for free as a sample in order to sell more. Also those that are selling a service where their USP is their knowledge should use RSS feeds to show off they know what they are talking about; as a marketing consultant you might have people reading your marketing insights on a weekly basis who then already know that you are a great marketer when they come to choose a marketing consultant.

Create an RSS feed for your website easily and for free. While blogs have the inbuilt ability to create an RSS feed, standard websites do not, which is why I created this free tool to create RSS feeds: Create RSS Feeds. Plus, you’ll find other RSS resources and advice.
